IMPORTANT NEWS

Please help Bomber Command Association to build the Memorial for their fallen comrades.

Before the end of 2010, at least £ 5.5 milion (approx. € 6,5 milion) is needed before the build can start. Up till now the amazing amount of £ 2 milion has been donated, but more is needed.
We ask you to donate ONE EURO (or more) as a sign of respect to the killed airmen.
You can donate your amount to the Memorial's official Dutch account at ABN-AMRO 491194749 at Schiphol or if you prefer to make a donation in Britain go to the following link, where you will find all the details.

TRYING TO TRACE MISSING ALLIED AIRMEN?
LOOKING FOR INFORMATION OF CRASHED AIRCRAFT?

A few decades ago we (Ger Boogmans and Christel Strebus) have made it part of our life to trace missing allied airmen of World War II, who have gone missing over Western Europe, especially The Netherlands.

Through investigating we now have an extensive archive with over 7,000 crashes of mainly Commonwealth Bomber Command aircraft. That information is available for anybody who wants to know anything.

When an aircraft was traced through extensive investigations the information was handed over to the authorities, the Royal Netherlands Air Force Recovery Team.
After permission of the local authorities, they recovered the aircraft. When the identification was finished the relatives were informed through the Ministries of Defence and the airmen could finally be buried with full military honours.

Since 2001 our lives have developed in different directions, and although we are currently not actively tracing the missing airmen, we still would like to offer next-of-kin and interested parties the opportunity to get information they are looking for.
Living in a free country, we owe it to those who fought for our freedom!
